This song was actually another song that went through the writing process three times before we came out with something we really liked. It was the last track we recorded on the record and the last one written for it. We felt it showed our growth as a band from the beginning of the recording process in May of 2009, until when we wrapped the project in March of 2010. We chose it to be the opening track on the record for that very reason.
lyrics
don’t be hasty your fear will dry away
don’t let the silence scare you now, it’s ok
I won’t dare say the words I know I should
I’ll leave them on the winds of hope lost inside of you
did I ever tell you that you could come with me
did I ever tell you that you mean everything
if you want I’ll run till I can find a way
to lift the air that holds you down
I’ll come through just wait
did I ever tell you that you could come with me
did I ever tell you that you mean everything
